The Thomson Reuters Excellence Awards ceremony held last week saw us honoured with the Best Partner Award for our collaboration with Thomson Reuters in educating and empowering young bankers in Africa.
Described as the ultimate form of recognition of an organisation’s customer excellence, the Thomson Reuters Excellence Awards take place annually and place the spotlight on excellence in business practice, partnerships, embracing technology, innovation as well students who are making headway in data science. Entries come from all over the continent and, according to the judges, made up of industry leaders, the caliber of the entries have improved year on year.
The event kicked off with an expert workshop on the latest technology solutions and innovation examples for professionals in the financial, risk, tax and legal services industries, followed by a gala awards ceremony and champagne reception to thank and celebrate Thomson Reuters’ customers across all sectors for helping to empower Africa’s success.
The Best Partner Award is awarded to a commercial or non-commercial partner of Thomson Reuters who can demonstrate that their combined efforts are empowering Africa’s success. Other winners included Grant Thornton, RMB, Accenture Consulting, Standard Bank, Bowmans and Eskom.
Upon receiving the award, ICAP’s Yonatan Rom said, “We’ve spent many years trying to bring the African market this type of financial education and to be recognized for this is truly humbling. I need to thank my team for their hard work because without them this wouldn’t have been possible.”
